The Gentex PureFlo PF3000 Hard Hat PAPR is the new breed of industry leading all-in-one NIOSH approved air-purifying protection systems. Designed to work for those with beards and glasses, it integrates all-in-one respiratory and eye/face and head protection into a light weight, low profile head-mounted frame. This design minimizes potential interferences with tools, machinery and other personal protection equipment such as fall protection harness systems.
The Gentex PureFlo PF3000 Hard Hat PAPR is a NIOSH certified HEPA PAPR suitable for protection against liquid and solid aerosols like dust, smoke, fibers, bacteria and viruses at 99.95% efficiency
The Gentex PureFlo PF3000 Hard Hat PAPR comes equipped with an integrated rechargeable lithium ion battery providing a guaranteed flow rate of 220 liters of air per-minute for an operational time of up to 4-5 hours on a single charge. The system also integrates an ANSI-rated visor rated to ANSI/ISEA Z87+ as well as hard hat head protection rated to ANSI/ISEA Z89. 1:2014 Type 1 Class G.

A bit heavier than our Powercap unit but this one is better suited for chimney sweeps like us. Here in the US, we require Niosh approved. The one lb. difference in weight is noticeable and will take getting used to, In the future, I'd like to see a unit that also keeps the soot out of my ears and off the sides of my head and neck. I wear a cloth head covering for now.
