HydraCool Evaporative Cooling Vest

I have been looking for something like this hit a long time. I saw Rafa Nadal wearing on 2 years ago and I thought that’s what I need. I am extremely heat intolerant. First of all, I really like the lightness of it. It’s very comfortable and does not restrict my strokes in any way. I used it as soon as it came , after activating it as per instructions . The weather was not overly hot but extremely humid and I have to say I did not feel any of the usual physical symptoms that I had been experiencing prior to wearing this vest. Naturally the weather cooled down considerably right after I received it but so far I’ve worn it twice and it performed exactly as I wanted it to. I felt quite comfortable. I also was the envy of everyone on the court! Thank you Peke.. I now actually look forward to playing in some hot weather. I’m 80 and I’m sure this is going to give me some extra time to enjoy doing what has given me pleasure for almost 50 years. The only change I might make is to have it a bit longer with one or 2 more rows of cooling gel.

The vests definitely stay cool, and for an impressive amount of time too! (Ive heard up to a week!) They look pretty decent and don't make you stand out too much while wearing them which is definitely something I appreciate. I feel the sizing for the large definitely runs much larger on the "adjustable" vests which are a bit more expensive by comparison. Because of this, the two vests I got don't seem to fit to my body as closely as I'd hoped (having not been able to try one on) which really limits the amount of cooling contact to my body. I plan on altering the elastic by sewing it a bit tighter to reduce the amount of material depth wise. Additionally my last qualm was that, the black vests do seem to leech out a bit of the dye onto clothing over time, especially when freshly hydrated, and can leave contacted surfaces feeling a bit ...soapy, perhaps? I'd simply warn against wearing anything under the dyed vests you don't plan on getting marked up into a checkered pattern. As far as I understand these vests seem a bit difficult to run clean of loose dye before use due to their absorbancy and nature of use outside of considerable soaking over time. Great product, just would have liked to see a bit more forewarning of fitting and leeching concerns, but admittedly I bought in person at a trade show. User experience may vary. Would recommend for sure as far as their designated purpose. I even gifted one to my father who the large fit much better due to his huskier and larger bellied stature (about 5'8" 180-190lbs). Thin, flat bellied guys should likely go for a medium to account for a more tight fit. However, Im a little unsure yet of how the gel pads hold up to hard labor. They seem a little delicate and I'm wary of bursting them under weight like a heavy board or crawling under a house.

I love this cooling vest and it worked for about 4 hours in 85 degree temperature. My complaint is that it is stretchy in the stomach area (where most men carry weight). I normally wear a men's XL or women's 2X shirt because of my bust. I purchased the 3X size (I'd gotten the XL but couldn't even zip it over my bust). It is still tight in the bust and as I work, the front of it moves up until the stretchy part is over my bust so the cooling get is not on my front, it's puckered up. They need to design one that is larger in the bust area or stretchy there so that it works for us larger sized women. PS: before wondering why I am not wearing a bra. I'm a woodturner and shavings get caught where they shouldn't.

I got this vest to workout in & to wear working in my shop. It is a lifesaver & really keeps you cool! I’ve been telling everyone I know about it. The ONLY drawback is it really doesn’t last 3 days but that’s ok. Just rehydrate & wear! It’s perfect for my usage.

I no longer feel overheated while playing outdoor tennis in Florida. It keeps me cool for hours.
