The SR-229 AM/MA chemical cartridge is used with Sundström SR-100 and SR-200 half and full-face masks to provide protection from certain levels of ammonia and methylamine vapor. This chemical cartridge is approved for independent use or can be combined with the the particulate filter SR 510, HEPA filter in order to obtain protection against airborne particulate contaminant.
