Spare parts make Powercaps last a long time

My Powercap is now about 4 or 5 years old. I just purchased a replacement "cap" from Peke Safety for $40. The cap is the chassis that supports all the other pieces. I have replaced the neoprene face cuff also. This thing just keeps on going.

As an important note to users, when you get your Powercap, take the neoprene cuff off (it is held on with velcro) and do a zigzag stitch around the edge. This will make the cuff last a long time. It is cheaper for us to just do this than to ask the manufacturer, so just accept that and enjoy your Powercap. I love mine now even after all these years.

If you are a woodworker (and especially if you are a micro carver making very fine dust) this will help your lung health. A lot of wood dust is a lung irritant, and the smaller the particle the worse they are.

Problem Solved

The Powercap Active works well and it does a good job keeping wood dust from reaching my lungs. I had a minor problem with battery pack holder on my Powercap but Peke Safety took care of it without issue. All good.

Power Cap

I love thet you can replace any individual part of my Power Cap when a piece is worn or broken. I always sing the praises of the Power Cap especially for female turners. It's so light to wear and my lungs are thankful.
