The Powercap Active IP is suitable for Woodworking, Chimney Maintenance, Yard Care, Animal Handling, and Allergy Relief. It's lightweight, low-profile design make it suitable for any application were dusts, molds, and other dry particulate contamination cause irritation in non-OSHA environments.

Depending on use, filters can be replaced as little as once every 6 months or as frequently as every 30 days. When you start noticing minor irritation in your eyes, nose, or throat during use even with a full charge, it is time to replace your filters.
To get the best use from your Powercap Active IP, you should be cleaning the pre-filters by removing them from the filters, and either dusting them off or using a vacuum hose on them; however, you should never use a vacuum on the filters themselves. The Powercap Active IP visor will be damaged if you use an alcohol-based cleaner on it. For all other questions, please refer to the user manual for cleaning instructions on the visor and unit in general.
Yes. The Powercap Active is a powered air, positive pressure respirator. It does not require a tight face seal or fit test making it compatible with people who have beards or wear glasses. We have a blog post where we cover this in detail.

I can not believe how quickly the Powercap has become a natural part of my woodworking. Love the fact that my lungs are protected, my eyes and head as well. Accidentally walked into a low hanging 1X4 yesterday. This would normally have required a bandage but that was saved by the Powercap. Everything about the cap is quality. Would highly recommend

So glad I purchased this respirator. I'm a full time furniture maker, and I've developed an allergy to some woods.
My other full face respirator was good, but after hours of wearing it, I felt short on oxygen.
I can wear this one for hours, and feel great after. It is also much lighter than my previous respirator.
I would highly recommend purchasing this respirator. It works well with my beard also.

I've tried so many dust masks over the years. I've probably spent more on the many than on the price tag of the Powercap. It works great. Its everything that I've tried before is not. It's comfortable, not cumbersome. Its cool with the air circulation blowing over the front of my face. No more lines, rashes and near bruises on my face like from the formerly used strapped on respirators. And it filters very good. I didn't quite trust it at the very first use. Was this thing actually going to work? Or were my lungs going to lock up from the cedar dust I was i the thick of? Very quickly I could tell that it worked great. Its so easy to put on, take off and just wear around the shop while the dust settles. You can even talk to someone with it on, although its a bit muffled. I trust it now. It's definitely not the mask that you've got to strip off as soon as you make the last cut. Buy it! Its worth the price tag.
