Powercap Active IP Replacement Motor Fan

As a professional chainsaw carver, I’ve found the JSP power cap to be a complete game changer. I had the motor burn out and the customer service was exceptional in getting me a new motor before a show I had coming up. My advice to anyone who has one is to make sure you change the pre filters regularly and to change the cartridge filters every 6 months or so in order to prevent the motor from burning out. Read as operator error. Customer service was exceptional!

The Powercap is the most comfortable and pleasant dust respirator I have ever used. Much better than my Trend unit. I hardly notice that I’m wearing it. Quiet and efficient. However the fan motor is a delicate matter. There isn’t a sensor to alert you when the filters are dirty. In addition, instead of reduced air flow with dirty filters the motor works harder to maintain the air flow. That in turn stresses the motor to the point of failure. Follow the advice of Peke Safety and change filters often! They are far less expensive than a new motor.

The rotor blades fractured, just over a year warranty, they were very polite and agreed to replace the motor components. Works great. Very happy with the power cap and the company.
