Does the intense heat of the spring and summer drain you?

Does the humidity make it difficult for you to work, play, compete, or function outdoors?

Then an evaporative cooling vest is the perfect accessory for your everyday.

One like the Hydracool Sport or Hydracool Pro in our Hydracool line, is the perfect solution to keep your stamina up and your body temperature consistent.

Wearing a cooling vest while working out, working outdoors, or simply being in a warm environment will help you feel cooler and more comfortable in less than comfortable conditions. It can also improve your recovery time, reduce core/skin body temperature, and prevent dehydration, fatigue or other unwanted side effects.

But how exactly?

With hydrogel cooling technology.

Utilizing super absorbing polymers held within sealed pockets, the vest provides cooling by evaporation, keeping your core body temperature and skin cooler than the surrounding environment.

There are two factors that determine heat-stress: temperature & humidity as shown in the chart below:

When utilizing the hydro cooling technology, your body temperature will remain consistently within the health heat index range.

When in temperatures below approximately 105 degrees F and humidity below 90%, the hydrogel technology is designed to keep your temperature at least 7 degrees cooler than the environment you’re working in.

The evaporative Hydracool vest works in 3 ways while keeping the user comfortably dry:

  1. By evaporation.
The cooling technology, contained within the hard polymer grains of the Hydracool vest known as Hydrogel, is activated when the Hydrogel is immersed in water. These hard grains of Hydrogel turn soft, retaining cooling properties for up to 72 hours by evaporation.

  2. Through active temperature reduction.
When placed inside the refrigerator after activation, the Hydracool vest will provide an additional level of cooling for 30 minutes. After these 30 minutes are up, the vest will return back to evaporative cooling.

  3. Through melting after freezing.
When placed inside of the freezer after activation, the Hydracool vest will provide an extra intense cooling for an additional 1 to 2 hours before entering active temperature reduction and then evaporation.

Moving in high temperatures has a negative effect on individual performance and is nearly impossible for those suffering with conditions such as MS.

The Hydracool vest will not only help you feel better in these climates, but also help you concentrate better, be more productive and of course, feel cooler (and maybe look cooler too).

Stay cool out there.
